The Title of the Movie itself speaks about the movie.Movie starts with killing a new born girl baby. The Amount of killing increases so much that there is no girl present in whole town. When all the Boys grow up , there are no girls left so that they could get married. A Father who has 5 Boys are bachelors and desperately want to get married. After Searching a lot, he finds a girl acted by Tulip Joshi who gets married to all 5 boys. Here is a Movie where you will find the Groom's Family has to pay the Dowry rather than Bride. Tulip's Father takes 5 lakh of Money from the Groom's Father.
After Marraige, there is no Good day for Tulip, as men take rounds for fulfilling their Physical needs. Sushant Singh among the boys is a Good Hearted Person. He understands Tulip and loves her.But his fellow Brothers kill him because tulip rejects them at the night when they come ahead to sleep with her. There is pain, Grief and violence in this Movie, it shows how women gets treated when there are lack of girls present in the town.
Things come to a Halt, when tulip gets Pregnant and there is a tiff as who is the father of that kid. Most of the people might have not seen this flick in theatre cos of the violence towards girl. This has one of the finest arts within it. Music by Salim-Sulaiman, Sound Technician by Academy Award Winner Resul Pookutty.
Manish Jha's Matrubhoomi is a Movie which is MUST Watch for everyone which has Great STORY, THEME and DIRECTION. Its got Heart at the Right place.
